    2. Canon or Nikon: Canon

    3. Best Seminar you have attended: Tough but if I have to pick it's PPO summer seminar 2007 at Kahneeta. Great location, speakers, events and people.

    4. Share a tip or trick: Scout, Setup and then Shoot! What does this mean? It means don't rush out and take an image in the first few minutes of the first scene you come across. I have seen this many times and is often one of the issues when people are first getting into landscape and nature photography. Even for locations I have photographed many times I have a goal of arriving early before the sweet light of sunrise or sunset comes about. I could talk about this at length but in short when you are looking to create a wonderful fine art scene in nature there is often more time spent looking and visualizing than shooting. Trying to find the patterns, shapes, lines and more is not something normally jumping out right away. We have all heard the quote from Ansel Adam's "You don't take a photograph, you make it." There are several ways this is interpreted for me but one for sure is the time spent in the field "making" the photograph!

    5. Best kept secret about yourself: Growing up we took some of our family pets to the taxidermist after they passed on. Most families have the simple backyard burial ceremony but not ours. We get to keep our pet to see for years to come! I thought it was fine until one of our cats came out more like a prop for the set of Pet Cemetery, then we asked our Dad to stop. Maybe this is why I don't want any pets today.

    6. Favorite place you have visited: I can't do a favorite place, too many. A favorite trip though was backpacking around Europe for six weeks with Molly for our honeymoon.

    7. Photographer you admire: That's tough, a good number of photographers I admire. Guy Tal and Marc Adamus are a couple near the top, both different styles but always inspire me.

    8. Favorite Brand of toothpaste: Tom's of Maine

    9. On your day off you Must: Go hiking or backpacking and get away from the computer!

    10. Favorite Treat: Stroopwafel
